Courses are either 3-day or 4-day and are non-residential. The examination is held on the final afternoon of each course. The exam is multiple choice and you must obtain at least 26 out of 40 marks to pass. The exam is invigilated and marked by ISEB and results are normally sent to you without delay - a couple of days in some cases but up to a couple of weeks in others. Five questions involve some sort of calculation and ISEB provides a calculator to use during the exam. However, you may find it useful to bring your own for the course itself. The calculations are not onerous and many candidates use their mobile phone calculators.
