
David Wilkin has had a wide and varied career over the past fifteen years, during which he has gained experience in Public and Private Sectors, and in the Privatised Utility Sector.
David is a European Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Chartered IT Professional, and member of the BCS, IEE and APM. He has been Certificated by the APM to the highest level and is one of a minority of Project Professionals in the country to hold CPM status.
Having worked extensively in the provision and acquisition of ICT, David's technology background provides him with a firm foundation in the realisation of business benefits through ITC enablers and complimentary process change and human impact management. Partnered with extensive practical experience in Business Change, Project and Programme Management, David's Strategic expertise fuses the reality of Management on the ground to the accomplishment of business objectives.
David is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner, is fluent in "Managing Successful Programmes" and was one of the original ISEB team who established the Syllabus for the PPSO qualifications. David is an accredited OGC Gateway review team leader for high-risk projects in Central Civil Government and Healthcare sectors and also works with 4Ps in the Local Government arena.
Having worked in the Gas Industry, a Telco, two major Government departments (dealing with Intelligence and Security) and a Business/IT consultancy, David joined together with MMP in 2003 to offer Professional Programme/Project Management/Support services and training across the spectrum of Public and Private Sectors.
David is a pragmatist who focuses on maximum gain for minimum pain, early wins and the appropriate sensible use of structured methods. He has two young children, and he enjoys family outings and frequent visits to France. He is a keen music listener, hi-fi enthusiast, F1 fan and general DIY all-rounder.
